This archival release presents unique recordings of African acoustic guitar music captured by John Low in the late 1970s. During his expedition across Eastern and Central Africa, the researcher documented performances by both established masters and obscure local artists. Recorded in informal settings—ranging from private homes to public spaces—the sessions capture a vibrant atmosphere and the authentic sound of fingerstyle technique.
