Komodo Chess 9.3

Komodo Chess 9.3 | 6.5 Mb

Komodo 9.3 is about 45 Elo stronger than Komodo 9, the top-rated chess program in the world according to the computer engine rating lists (IPON, CCRL & CEGT). It is also the current champion of the world's strongest chess engine tournament, the TCEC.

Komodo 9.3 is a substantial improvement over Komodo 8, which was already rated among the top three chess engines on almost all rating lists. Komodo 9. is approximately +80 Elo stronger than Komodo 8 on one core according to the independent tests and our own internal testing, with the gain increasing to about +85 Elo on 4 cores. Gains come from improved search, evaluation, and time management, as well as more efficient use of multiprocessing.

Komodo is two-time TCEC champion, the most prestigious online computer chess event, and has also won several CCT events.

Komodo supports Syzygy tablebases and is available for Windows, Linux, Mac and Android.

Komodo 9.3, tested at 2 minutes plus 1 second, shows a 16 elo gain over Komodo 9.2 after 12,800 games. Testing on 4 cores at 1 minute plus 0.5 a second after 4900 games shows a 14 elo gain. Against Komodo 8 similar tests show gains of nearly 100 elo on 1 and 4 threads. Komodo 9.3 is a slightly improved version of Komodo 9.3x which is at this writing close to clinching the TCEC Championship, widely considered to be the unofficial but de facto world computer chess championship. It is also an upgraded version of the engine that decisively defeated two strong Grandmasters in serious six game matches despite giving odds of rook for knight or the f7 pawn.
