Description
The word pranayama is comprised of two roots: prana and ayama Prana means 'vital energy' or 'life force'. It is the force existing in all things, whether alive or lifeless.Prana, even though closely related to the air we breathe, it is more subtle than air or oxygen. Pranayama utilizes breathing to direct the flow of prana in the nadis or astral tubes of the pranamaya kosha, our energy body.Ayama is defined as 'extension' or 'expansion'. So the word pranayama means ' expansion of the dimension of prana' and pranayama techniques provide the method to activate and regulate the life force to go beyond one's normal boundaries or limitations and reach a higher state of vibratory energy.Use this course to learn different breathing and pranayama techniques and experience the effect they have on your physical, mental and energy body. You can try out the different techniques and find out which ones suit you best. We are giving you background information about the different techniques, explain you the difference between breathing and pranayama, as well as some basic anatomical knowledge that helps you to better understand the effects of breathing on your body. Join us and feel the expansion of your prana.
