Description
The main idea of this class is a floral painting in the traditional Russian folk art style "Khokhloma". Khokhloma is one of the oldest Russian folk art style which is recognized all over the world. You can use any paint: acrylic, vinyl, gouache, tempera or even oil paint. I recommend to paint with a round natural squirrel or Kolinsky brush N2, but you can use synthetic as well.Decorative painting is very functional: you can paint interior items, accessories, clothes, canvas, paper and even use decorative painting skills for digital illustration and surface design. You can choose any surface and paint on a paper, canvas, wood. You can decorate with these folk flowers a box, a bag, furniture and other things. In the class we are going to create style step-by-step together two floral compositions the "Tulip" and the "Peony" flowers in Russian folk style. We will start from basis exercises, simple elements, through learning the rules of composition to a final artwork. Everyone will succeed! You can't fail.I would recommend this class for:- beginners without any experience in painting, because we will start from basic elements;- people who like handicrafts to decorate their homes and create interesting souvenirs for their family and friends;- experienced painters and illustrators who want to learn new techniques and ideas.I wish you happy painting and relaxation with Russian folk art!Warmest greetings,Irina De Vicente
