In this class I will show you how I create quirky, tessellating patterns. I'll start by explaining what a tessellating pattern is, with examples of mine and other artists work. Then I'll go through how to use Adobe Illustrator to turn a simple sketch to a final pattern.
The pattern shown in this video is built up of simple shapes and is easy to repeat. Once you've watched this class you should be able to use the techniques shown to create your own simple repeat pattern.
This class is suitable for beginners, though basic knowledge of Illustrator would be handy.
