I believe that having a daily painting practice is the fastest way to improve your skills. It doesn't matter what you paint or how long you paint each day, as long as you stay consistent with your practice. In this class, I'm going to show you how you can find inspiration in the most mundane objects. For this class, I found inspiration in my refrigerator and I painted a series of small fruit studies. Each fruit study can be completed in about 20 minutes and each one will help you improve your drawing, and color mixing skills. You'll also learn a lot about value and creating form. Here is a list of the supplies and paint colors I used for this class:Canvas 6x6 inches, and 5x7 inchesFlat paint brushesPalette paperWater and Paper towels for clean upReference photos (listed in the Projects & Resources tab)I used heavy body acrylic paint:Cadmium Red Medium HueCadmium Yellow Medium HueBurnt SiennaPhthalo BlueNeutral Gray No 7Please let me know if you have any questions about this class!
