After the loss of exposed coastal cities like Miami and New Orleans, humans fight back through hyper engineering and the construction of vast dams near San Francisco and Gibraltar. As sea level rise gets out of control after the 23rd century, some of our most important cities are flooded. But even then, human try to adapt, for example through the construction of floating cities around cities like New York.
