B.E.F. - 1981-2011 (2011)

'B.E.F: 1981-2011' (Special Edition) celebrates 30 years of British Electric Foundation, the brainchild of Martyn Ware, Craig Marsh and Glenn Gregory, more commonly known as Heaven 17.

This 30th anniversary 3 disc collection consists of
CD1 - 'Music of Quality and Distinction Volume One'. Including - Tina Turner's cover of The Temptations 'Ball of Confusion', plus covers by Paula Yates, Billy Mackenzie, Paul Jones, Glenn Gregory and Sandie Shaw. Completed with seven bonus tracks.

CD2 - 'Music of Quality and Distinction Volume Two'. 1991's follow up to 'Volume One' features: Tina Turner 'A Change Is Gonna Come', Billy Mackenzie 'Free', Lalah Hathaway 'Family Affair', Green Gartside's (Scritti Politti) 'I Don't Know Why I Love You'. CD2 also features six previously unreleased versions of; 'In My Life', 'Family Affair', 'I Want You', 'It's Alright' and 'I Don't Know Why I Love You'.

CD3 - Music From Stowaways To Dark. Includes for the first time on CD 'Music For Stowaways', B.E.F.'s first release, previously released on cassette only 31 March 1981. Plus previously unreleased outtakes and a new track from the forthcoming 'Music of Quality and Distinction Volume 3: Dark' release. Packaged in a lift-top lid box with a poster + 5 postcards.
