Free records phone calls from the phone line on some phones. Such recording is not usually available out-of-the-box, it needs hardware support in your OS kernel and root access. If you have an HTC device, you're in clover if you've got a custom ROM. Otherwise, please visit the xda site, there're plenty.
Another Call Recorder is a free call recorder application. It is one of the best call recorders in the Play Store and offers tons of features such as:

Whats New
This is a bug fix update.
Android 6 call recording issues ONLY on CERTAIN phone models:
We are still working on it. Due to limitations of Android 6, it is not possible to simply start call recording. There seems to a way and we are constantly trying to achieve it.
Unfortunately we don't have magic wand to learn a function that is not publicly available. We will continue to research
