2007 digitally remastered two CD collection from the '70s and '80s British glamsters. Rockers is an the perfect companion to any Slade 'hits' collection, as it documents of one of the UK's greatest bands doing what they do best - Rockin' and Rollin'! Here are 37 blistering tracks spanning the period 1969-87. Stylish double digipak with 20 page booklet containing previously unseen photographs by Barry Plummer plus informative track by track notes by Mojo's Chris Ingham.
The sound on this 2-CD set is very good, clean and crisp, with good tonal separation between the instruments and voice. The sound has been remastered,which gives these tracks a great deal of immediacy. The booklet has a number of photographs of the band not seen before. The discs clip in a quad-foldout cardboard package,which also has several photos of the band. The booklet has a track-by-track annotation which helps set these tracks in the SLADE discography.
These tracks are a compendium (1969-1987) of music from a number of SLADE's releases over the years. Starting with "Beginnings",then on to "Play It Loud","Slade Alive!","Slayed","Old New Borrowed And Blue","Slade In Flame","Nobody's Fool",and"Whatever Happened To Slade".
