André van Vliet - André speelt Herman van Vliet (1) (2022)

André van Vliet was born on August 18, 1969 in Benschop. At the age of 9 he attended church services in his hometown. He took lessons from Gijsbert Lekkerkerker and the well-known organist Herman van Vliet, who also instilled in him a love for French romanticism in particular. At the Utrecht Conservatory André studied with Nico v.d. Hooven, Jan Welmers and Jan Raas, where the diploma was obtained in 1991.
In the meantime, his activities have not gone unnoticed and he now travels through the country every week as an accompanist for choirs or as a soloist. He has performed in many important organ series in the Netherlands, but also abroad, played for radio and TV and made 7 solo albums. These CDs, which contain a very broad repertoire, were recorded in the Evang. luth. Church in The Hague, the Martinikerk in Bolsward, Loolaankerk in Apeldoorn, the Lebuïniskerk in Deventer and the Elisabethkirche in Marburg (Du.). Just like on the CDs, the concerts – in addition to the names of composers such as Bach, Mendelssohn, Franck, Guilmant, Widor and Dupré – also boast great names such as Planyavski, Hidas, Verschraegen and Toebosch.
