Red Filipino Viper is full with the cross-genre music and energy you expect from the band - soulful and playful rock'n'roll with both cowboy hats and tie-dye shirts. Here you can hear the whiff of Steely Dan, Almann Brothers, Dr John and Van Morrison in a delightful mixture. The recording was made old-school and live in the Juke Joint studio with a crisp and modern production by Tobias Flottorp Heltzer that really delivers. The album also features a guest appearance from The Pretty Things legend Dick Taylor, with whom the band has previously collaborated.
Akkerhaugen Raid is Fredrick Kaasa on vocals and guitar, Jan Birger Akerhaugen on guitar, Anders Hefre on keyboards and wind instruments, Jens Olav Haugen on bass, Arne Steinar Myrvang on drums. On saxophones they are joined by Olav Tveitan and Jon Øystein Rosland.
