“All told, the responses
were more than 75 percent in favor of inclusion of
JavaScript on a regular basis. Based on this, we’ll begin
regular coverage of it in the next few issues. In the meantime,
a JavaScript article that was scheduled long ago is
included in this issue. As we move forward, we’ll be careful
to keep in mind the recommendation of reader William
McKenzie, who upon reassurance that JavaScript would not
come to dominate the content, kindly replied: ‘That sounds
