The Epic of Hiax: The Cyborg who tried to cheat death

English | 2021 | ISBN: N/A | ASIN: B09MH3QYH6 | 87 pages | EPUB | 0.53 MB

A Sci-Fi novella of a post-human future.

Man's last story is as its first, a quest for immortality. A future story using “The Epic of Gilgamesh” Humankind's first written epic as its plotline, retold for a future that has yet to come.

A great wasteland covers the earth, interrupted by a single patch of green forest surrounding the mighty city of New Babylon. It is here, and here alone, that humanity can survive and flourish.

All other pockets of the universe are inhabited by the mysterious Chromes, mechanical beings who seem to have little interest in lowly humans. Most people are satisfied hearing stories from the Chromes about the greater galaxy. Hiax, the king, is not.

What begins as a quest to please the Chromes soon becomes a quest for immortality itself. Hiax and his friend Adar battle monsters across the irradiated Northern Mountains and trek across barren wastes in their desperate fight to liberate their people. It seems a futile attempt...

But Hiax is determined to leave no stone unturned, even if he must venture to the farthest corners of the solar system to do it.
