Great post! I always get the LOL's when people use the term "Dark Web" for TOR--it's just essentially a decentralized network. (<-my opinion).
I only TOR when I'm bored as hell, and after about 1-2 hours, my idiocy meter reaches 100% and I exit post-haste to keep from drooling on myself and doing the "Rainman tick." I could care less about the content I come across since I view it as an episode of the 70's show "What's Happening". (ha-ha)
IMO, TOR is a poor, wannabe imitation of the wild and nefarious newsgroups of the 90's. Now those WERE THE DAYS! No matter what psychotic, perverse, unscrupulous insanity tickled your fancy, there was a newsgroup for it...and posters who pushed the info like a Columbian drug lord! Crazy good times!
I haven't been on newgroups in probably 10-15 years, so I don't know if they are any more " 'et up with da crazy." I rarely get on the internet nowadays except to trade crypto, read FoxNews and of course, the home of the Brethren: SANET.ST
