For the record, I would not refer to WINE as "very powerful when it comes to compatibility"; it's a great tool but it's not intended for anything beyond simple things that most people could get by with using the Linux-alternative app.
Linux is also not "superior" to Windows. It's different. It has an entirely different architecture/approach. To encourage people to switch, claiming one OS versus another will solve their problems, is highly misleading.
I do agree with you that many people will save electricity running Linux; however, anyone that knows Windows at a technical level can do the same. In fact, more modern versions of Win10 that utilize all power states, often run lower wattage than Linux machines. Fortunately there is powertop; a great utility for Linux that helps in this regard.
If you'd like to open a new thread on the topic, you're welcome to do so -- meanwhile, for now, best not to mislead people with the "superior" comments. I understand you believe them; however, I assure you that someone who knows Windows at a technical level, including myself, can show you many ways that this statement is untrue. Particularly in the areas you claim, such as security. For example, Windows enterprise grade security is far more complex with far greater potential; however, few Windows users care enough about security to learn.
Like anything else, if something is important to you, you should invest time to learn how to accomplish this. Those that claim Windows is inferior often haven't invested the time to understand it at a highly technical level and therefore they subjectively claim that Linux or MacOS is better, without a thorough ability to compare both.
