Wow, so many great points.
Money cannot buy anything of importance, that we really need.
It cannot give life, happiness, love, health, friendship, fulfillment, peace of mind.... but money can give you everything we don't need pride, hate, jealousy, stress, fear, lust and opposite of everything good.
Money does give you options in social life, without money things can be forced onto us (buy a cheaper laptop, not a good one... then again, you can create wonders with even a cheap laptop e.g. George R.R. Martin)
I have rarely seen people with money happy, also I have never seen people without money happy. People without money are not happy either, as they struggle to just survive and keep their dignity.
The best of both worlds... middle class people with aspirations, love, family, hobbies, health, life and enough money to live a fulfilled life and optimal peace of mind.
To answer your question, anything of importance cannot be bought with money, only options, which are ... just choices.
Should we aspire for money? Yes, if you live in a society, but it must be low in the life's priority with aspirations to have just enough to keep the problems of 'no money' away.
