hello all, first ...why ask a programming question here and not on some other site like stackoverflow?
the answer is because i'm looking for more than an answer, i'm looking for a referral link to a tutorial here that covers the subject..it's not important if the link is not valid anymore, chances are i have the tutorial...but i don't know it.
it's a noob question and i'm not sure how to phrase it,
for instance, i have written a program, a simple calculator in c# or java or python doesn't really matter , i have a class for the main application, a class of utils that handles the math operations, and a class for drawing the gui. the program compiles and runs "great", each class is in a separate file. i dont want the files to be in their default extension name, i want the main to be an .exe the utils to be .foo and the gui to be .bla, and ofcourse to have my calculator still working.
how do i do that? hopefully it's clear that i want to keep the file stracture and not have the whole thing as one .exe file.
is it a function of the ide? is it only available in VS?
does this workflow have a name?
is it only possible with c or c++?
what tutorial from lynda/pluralsight/udemy or any other, covers this subject?
cheers.
