As someone who has spent many years working in venture capital .. and understands certain technologies in exceptional depth (including personal avionics) -- I can tell you that... If you believe there is a conspiracy (or government plot, etc) -- stopping "flying cars"... There is a great deal more you should learn about the subject, because this simply is not true.
I could write volumes of books on the issues -- and the billions of dollars being spent on this niche, as we speak. Just Uber and Larry Page alone have spent tens of thousands of man-hours on this.
In addition, to correct another inaccuracy written above --
Autonomous "flying cars" are technically much easier to manage than autonomous vehicles on roads. It's a long story, but the shortest abbreviation I can give you would be to say that you can regulate to a greater degree, you do NOT have to be backwards compatible with "dumb" vehicles that won't speak to each other/etc, and you have far greater room for corrective measures, particularly when technology (rather than the human brain) is involved.
Apart from that, I do agree that we've had a really unfortunate year, or two, regarding advances in PC building tech.
The chip-shortage is truly real; if you don't believe it's real, that's another thing you can dig into much further and it's actually quite valuable information that applies to many areas of macro-economics. However, there are other factors that are creating nightmares. Crypto *ssholes who think they are going to get rich -- are a huge part of it, lol.
