[Login to see the link] - I think the best solution is to invest time to determine what has replaced waffles.fm and what.cd.
Those two sites were essentially the inspiration for vertical (niche) private torrent trackers. Hundreds of thousands of users on a private torrent tracker which hundreds of thousands of music releases. It was insane.
I discovered more amazing music on what.cd than at any other point in my life (and in college I worked at a record store for a bit).
If you found an album you liked, there was typically a dozen (or more) variations. From multiple losses formats ... down to the MP3 -V0 rips, all of which had been vetted by many others who were really serious about fidelity ... to the special releases with different tracks,
They also have extremely active forums where people who are music fanatics get into crazy discussions. Not only can you find everything you've ever wanted, but you'll learn so much more about other music that you never stumble upon anywhere else.
I've searched for waffles/what.cd replacements in the past without luck. I just searched again for you and noticed that Redacted appears to be the closest option. Like all private torrent sites, they have a very strict/difficult application process. Their application page is located here: [Login to see the link]
If I had an account with them, I'd be happy to send you an invite. Unfortunately I had never heard of them until I just now researched this for you 🙂.
