if you are not looking to make money from all this data you are collecting, my advice to you would be to take a step back
if you are the kind of person that collects everything interesting or somehow interesting that crosses his path then it would be fairly logical to hear about you having several HDDs ready to burst from the large amount of data you collect on a daily basis
the thing you have to ask is this...what am I going to do with all these hundred thousand songs...what am I going to do with the thousands of films that I have collected
we are bound by the human condition...I for one have realized that unfortunately I cannot listen to all the music that I have collected or watch all these movies or read all those books... one lifetime is clearly not enough
people have this expectation that maybe if they collect enough stuff they may stumble onto some forgotten diamond or something but this is not sustainable as there is not enough time to audit all the information
if you want to find something you may really like then what you should do is research...not downloading
of course looking for new things is always going to be the case, it is understandable, but you must set new standards for yourself... with these new standards you should download less that half the stuff compared to what you download today...be selective...
if you feel like you have an information overload problem then its clearly time to stop...stop and start listening to all this music...its time to watch all these movies and read the books
...having said that, I would advice you to continue using HDDs
the cloud may sound convenient but who tells you that the company will not go bust...who tells you that your precious pirated games will not be audited and deleted...who tells you that the internet will not go down after some catastrophe
since you clearly have a lot of these 10T HDDs you should consider using the cloud but only as back-up
I had a look at this ExpanDrive solution and while everything looks swell as they describe it, their reviews do not look that good...however if you decide to back-up in the cloud it would be prudent to find a company that uses multiple cloud storage depots...just find the right one...I wouldn't know...
well...I hope this was helpful.
