This repack IS slightly backwards compatible with my previous repack of Stellaris. You can rehash fg-optional-bonus-content.bin to save 688 MB of traffic.

Bonus FLAC soundtrack ripped, NOTHING re-encoded
Selective Download feature: you may skip downloading and installing of bonus files (OSTs, Wallpapers, Ringtones, Ebook)
Significantly smaller archive size (compressed from cumulative 10.3 to 4.7/5.4 GB)
Installation takes 5-12 minutes
